Navy Prt Instruction 2021 - The following information on the 2022 male PRT criteria for ages 25-29 is taken from the Navy's Physical Readiness Program Guide Five. This new update includes official information on how to administer physical fitness tests and the Navy's official scoring criteria.
What makes this update interesting is the new introduction of the 2km row and forearm boards. Rowing was introduced as an alternative to a 1.5 mile run or 500yd/450m swim and is an excellent alternative for those cold weather athletes who do not have access to a swimming pool. Forearm boards have now finally replaced the hated setup for measuring core strength and endurance with a much better and much safer alternative.
Navy Prt Instruction 2021
While the Navy originally planned to have identical plaque standards for both men and women, their analysis of 26,000 forearm plaque records from the CY2021 PFA found that there was a slight difference in gender performance. As a result, the Navy revised the forearm selection criteria to be gender-specific (ie, separate male and female scoring tables) gradually by age group. The updated standards for men's and women's forearm plaques can be found in Guide 5 and are scheduled to be updated on both the MyNavy portal and the official PFA application by April 1, 2022.

Primary Purpose: The Physical Activity Risk Factor Questionnaire (PARFQ) is a self-screening tool required of all Navy personnel prior to participating in a semiannual Physical Fitness Assessment (PFA).
As per policy, PHA is only valid for one year (365 days). If a CFL has a medically signed PHA completion form, the CFL can manually enter the PHA completion date into PRIMS on the \u201cEdit Member Record\u201d tab to allow the member to complete the PARFQ. .
For sailors who failed a previous PFA test, the new rules will allow them to remain in the Navy until at least the end of their current enlistment or service obligation. If these sailors pass their next PFA test, they will be in good standing and may be able to stay out of their current affiliation.
Officers who fail one aptitude test will not be promoted until they pass the PFA, but will be recommended for separation or retirement upon completion of their current assignment if they fail two consecutive tests.Under the new rules.
